Softball Team

Looking to join a softball team?  The BU alumni softball team is a fun team in a competitive beer league looking for fun, experienced players to commit to the whole season and the tournament.  The tourney is the best part of the season!  The season runs from early April to the tournament on Aug 3rd, 9th and 10th.  Games are played weeknights at 6 p.m. and weekends on the Mall and other local fields.  Dues are $75 until March 15th and $85 after.  Dues include: jersey, McFadden's CAN card, league entrance fee and the cost of the tournament.

Mid-August through October

NAKID Kickball

Join fellow BU alumni in their 4th season of NAKID Kickball (No, Adult Kickball Isn't Dumb)!  Games take place most Thursdays at 6:35pm from mid-August through October.  Registration is $52 and includes a NAKID t-shirt, a pre/mid/post season party with FREE beer and food and access to countless other social activities in and around the DC area (activities in the past have included a free booze cruise, the Beerlympics, Boomerang Bus rides to The Preakness, trips to Annapolis and many happy hours throughout the city). This is an excellent way to meet new people and have a ton of fun.

Event will be capped to the first 25 attendees.

2009 Frozen Four Ticket Applications Now Being Accepted

Calling all college hockey fans!  DC will host the 2009 NCAA Men's Division I Ice Hockey Championships (known as the Frozen Four) at Verizon Center on April 9 and April 11.  Ticket applications are now being accepted.  Applications are non-transferable and will be accepted until June 1st by the NCAA.  One application will be accepted per household and applicants will be told in August if they will receive tickets.  Application submission does not guarantee a ticket to the event.  Each ticket will be valid for the two semifinal games on Thursday, April 9 and the championship game on Saturday, April 11, 2009.

Applicants will be charged $177, immediately, for each ticket they request (up to four) plus a $7 processing fee; those not selected for tickets will have their deposit refunded to them in August.

This event will definitely sell out. Make sure to get your application in by June 1st!

Boston University Maryland License Plates!

Show your BU Pride as you drive around the state!  Boston University specialty license plates will be available through the Maryland Motor Vehicles Administration with a minimum of 25 participants.  The new BU plate will feature the BU seal on the left with "BU" displayed vertically and a four digit plate number.  Cost is $25.

Time to receive your new tags is 8 - 10 weeks once the initial order is placed.  If interested, email David Susseles (CGS '95, SMG '97) at dsusseles@yahoo.com with your name and plate number.  Please include BU MD license plate in the subject line.
