Answer: Yes
Answer: Bring them into any Maryland MVA office after you received your BU tags.
Answer: There are many processes that must occur before you will receive your plates if you are in the initial batch of 25.
The application must be submitted with the artwork and IRS tax exempt certificate. This we have. We are two members short of the 25 required participants
Upon receipt of application materials, it takes two weeks to review all documentation.
It takes four weeks to create a sample plate that is mailed to me for quality assurance. I am also mailed individual applications for members to request BU tags. All members of the initial 25 must return to me the application and a check for $25 made payable to the Maryland Motor Vehicles Administration (exact wording on application) before I can submit anyone’s application.
It takes four weeks after I approve the sample plate for the first 50 plates to be made (2 copies for front and back, of 25 unique plate numbers)
Answer: You email the coordinator, me. I mail you the application. You then send the completed application with your check directly to the MVA.
Answer: The plates will be mailed to the address you specified on the application form.
Answer: If you sell your car, you simply turn in your BU tags as you would generic Maryland tags. The MVA will refund you on the unused portion of the registration.
If you trade in your car, and want the BU tags on the new car, simply tell the dealer you want to transfer the tags. If your new car is a different weight class, you may have to pay the difference in the registration fee. |
