SAM AND EVELYN MARGOLIS SCHOLARSHIP

The Sam and Evelyn Margolis Scholarship was established in 2001 to benefit Boston University students from the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The scholarship assists qualified undergraduate students who have financial need and are in good academic standing. The application process begins in March and awards are announced in August.

Recipients are selected by a scholarship committee comprised of members of the BU Alumni Chapter of Washington, D.C., along with recommendations from the Boston University Office of Financial Assistance. 

2008 instructions
  1. Review the letter announcing the scholarship.

  2. Complete the scholarship application (MSWord) or (Adobe PDF) .

  3. Sign the application to release the information about your grade point average and financial aid package to the scholarship committee. NOTE: If you are under 21 years of age, your parent or guardian must also sign the application.

  4. Attach a 500-word essay (typed) as described in the application.

  5. Return all materials to the Office of University Development and Alumni Relations, One Sherborn Street 7th Floor, Boston, Massachusetts 02215. Applications must be postmarked no later than Friday, May 3, 2008.
